The liver is a versatile and nutritious food that can be cooked in many different ways. However, to get the best results, it's important to know how to cook liver properly. Whether you're new to the cooking liver or just looking to perfect your technique, this guide will provide you with all the tips and tricks you need to cook liver to perfection. It is easy to do and it only takes minutes to cook!

Here's how to cook liver in three different donenesses based on your personal preference.

  • Rare: Cooked for 1-2 minutes on each side. The inside should still be pink and slightly warm.
  • Medium: Cooked for 3-4 minutes on each side. The inside should be slightly pink, but not warm.
  • Well done: Cooked for 5-6 minutes on each side. The inside should be fully cooked and no longer pink.

Note: Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the liver pieces. It is recommended to use a meat thermometer to ensure the liver has reached an internal temperature of 145°F for safety.
